Jere's Ride |June 2nd 2018
In August of 2013, Jere McCulloch died while riding, something he dearly loved. We ride to celebrate the life of an avid cyclist and leader who did so much for our community and Empower Me! There's a 15 mile, 30 mile, and 50 mile ride. Visit https://sites.google.com/site/jeresride/ or on Facebook @ Jere's Ride.
Jere's Ride benefits Empower Me Day Camp, a nonprofit organization established in 1999 by a group of pediatric therapists to address the lack of adequate opportunities for children with disabilities in the greater Nashville area. Jere was an avid supporter of Empower Me Day Camp in may ways. Proceeds will help build a Miracle League Baseball Field. Please visit https://EmpowerMeCenter.com for more information.
Big Hill Challenge | June 9th 2018
All rides begin in Historic Watertown and quickly dispatch you to the countryside running alongside creeks, century-old farmland, bucolic pastures and through rustic, character filled towns.
Large rides give everyone a chance to ride with someone at their own pace. It’s a chance to work together and share in the challenges and rewards of touring cycling. Properly done, a 2-6 hour bike tour cleans your cardiovascular system and boosts your metabolism -- like nothing else; the non-impact nature is kind on your joints while your body never feels beat up, allowing for you to have almost instant recovery.
All rides will be fully supported by professional bike mechanics and rolling SAG teams with rest stops along the way.
At the ride's end showers are available at the High School and enjoy a post ride lunch we are proud to brag about, served at the Watertown Bed & Breakfast.
